In an article in the BBC, Jakob Neilson (an expert on usability) has criticised some web designers of thinking more about the new features of a site as opposed to its usability. Although the issue is slightly exaggerated its obviously very important to ensure that we always get the basics right before implementing more advanced Web 2.0 features.
