I haven’t read the book, and I wasn’t really interested about it, but I found myself clicking through the whole site until I reached the end.
I think it adds another level of intimacy, due to the fact that the viewer is exposed to the author’s handwriting, which supposedly says something about one’s personality. And because the World Wide Web houses 30 billion websites, website creators should strive to connect with their viewers in order to keep them on their site (rather than moving to another one.)
This method only works though if your website isn’t big on content (it’s probably best for introductory/spotlight sites), if you have good photography skills, and if you don’t have chicken scratches for handwriting.
